From the artists’s series of reimagined magazine covers. In her own words, “Each of these paintings took months to create as I layered, scraped, sanded, and layered again. I became fascinated by vintage photographs of women during the Golden Era of fashion, posing on magazine covers like Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. I suppose my mother’s career as a fashion editor had something to do with that. These sartorial photographs were the perfect vessel to explore my love of pattern, shapes and colors, as well as the human form. When Pop Art meets Fine Art, great things happen.”
